Northern Veterans Cycling Club
Bracknell, Tasmania, April 10, 2005
The Calvary Health Northern Veterans held a 54km Group handicap at Bracknell on Sunday, with 43 riders lining up in five bunches and former International rider Michael Wilson starting with the very strong scratch bunch.
In the hot and windy conditions the riders headed for the finish in Bracknell, but there was one rider on his own - Wilson. He and his fellow co markers had ridden through the field, with Wilson finishing 400m in front of only five cyclists who remained in the leading bunch. Most notable rides were from Robin Gregory and Philip Bishop to finish with the top A graders.
On Sunday April 17th racing will be at Longford, starting at 10 am. Riders must be entered by 9.45am as races will be starting at 10am sharp. Duty riders will be Andrew McDonald and Nick Millington.
