18 riders contested a 32km handicap race on the Tahbilk-Northward Road course.
Scratch riders Alan Adams, Kevin Simmons and Silas Fisher caught the 1min 30sec group of Hibberd,Loney,Mudd,Christensen and Osborne, mid race and this combined group managed to catch the leading group in the last kilometre, to set up a great sprint finish.
Peter Jenkins led out with 200m to race and looked a winning chance until powerhouse, Kevin Simmons arrived with a great burst of speed to cross the line first with his co-marker,Alan Adams tucked on his wheel for second place.
Jenkins held on for third place from Silas Fisher, Brett Loney, Jeff Hibberd, Dave Sanders and Jeff Madex.
Simmon’s time for the 32km was 44 minutes.
