Results and Reports from AustraliaPromoters wishing to submit results should send them to Cyclingnews Northern Veterans Cycling ClubBishopsbourne, Tasmania, September 18, 2005On Sunday at Bishopsbourne Launceston firefighter John Carter put in a great sprint to win the Calvary Health Northern Veterans 50km handicap race. The race, held in fine conditions, attracted over 30 starters. Carter and his fellow bunch of middlemarkers gathered the rest of the field in over the last four kilometres. Tim Elmer gained fastest time with the scratchmen finishing less than a minute behind the race winners. George Town rider Andrew Flanagan showed his versatility in finishing fourth after last week winning the Launceston Athletic Club's major 10km running race. Next weekend the TVCC will be holding their State Championships at Richmond starting with the rRoad Race at 10am on the Sat.Racing will continue on the Sunday with the Criteriums and Time Trials. Entries for these events have closed. Sunday Oct 2 club racing will resume with a two-person time trial at Longford, starting at 10am. Duty members are Peter Dadson and Ivan Richardson.
