Gordon Lawton, returning from injury, rode a very good race against Angelo Ylia, claiming an easy victory in the sprint in C Grade. B Grade riders made the most of the tailwinds, reaching speeds of 50km/h, with visiting Adelaide rider Luke Arthur claiming first place in a tight sprint against John Eshman and Amanda Steele. Lee Stevens and Kel Elleway averaged 35km/h in their A Grade race, with Stevens putting in an excellent performance over the 44km course to reclaim first place honours. Next week's race will be the Annual Bob Francis Memorial Handicap trophy cup event on Lindsay Point road starting at 9:30am.
