Results and Reports from AustraliaPromoters wishing to submit results should send them to Cyclingnews Australian Time Trial AssociationCalga, NSW, May 1, 2005The battle continues for ATTA course recordsTom Brooks (Parramatta CC) and David Rae have been locked in a fierce battle for ATTA course records throughout 2005. Tom has had a sensational year, setting new best times for the 43km and 12.5km events only to see his times toppled by David. Each time the record is broken the organiser hands out $100 cash in addition to the day's prizes, making this battle an expensive but interesting challenge This month Tom and David were at it again on the 25km course, for the Turramura Cyclery challenge. The two class riders started only a few minutes apart in an 80+ field. Tom was the first home with a time of 34min 25sec. Most doubted that David would be able to challenge this amazing time - however, to the disbelief of many David screamed home 4 minutes later in a 34:11 at an impressive average speed of 44km/h on the undulating course. ATTA (Australian Time Trial Association) run time trials on the first Sunday of each month at Calga, starting at 8am. All riders and bikes are welcome. We would like to acknowledge the support of our sponsors www.fastgear.com.au, ZeroRh, Veloflex, www.rotorcranks.com.au, www.hed.com.au, www.multisportal.com/shop and Turramurra Cyclery Next months Time Trial will be June 5 and will be a part of the Hed Disc series. No license is required, first rider starts at 8am sharp.
