Results and Reports from AustraliaPromoters wishing to submit results should send them to Cyclingnews Central Coast Cycling ClubTime Trial - Calga, Central Coast, February 6, 2005Sunny skies and almost no wind greeted the 60+ competitors who where competing in either the Multisport Hed Disk 43km series or the Veloflex 25km event. The anticipation of a personal best was felt by many present, and the chance of a course record was on the cards. The main event for the day was the Multisport Hed disk 43km series, which sports a first prize of a top-of-the-class Hed disk for the series winner. Held over an undulating out and back course, several riders averaged over the magical 40km/hr. But it was the classy Tom Brooks who set the roads on fire with an amazing time of 1 hour 17 seconds, smashing the previous record by almost 40 seconds. Not only does Tom take a commanding lead in the Multisports Hed Disk series but also scores $100 for breaking a record. Additionally, Tom's Name will be added to the ATTA Calga Record holder's trophy. In the Veloflex 25km event it was a familiar name on top of the list. Despite being 55 years old, Ross Hodgson continues to prove why he is considered one of the world's best Time Trial riders for his age, defeating a class field of riders half his age. ATTA Calga is run on the first Sunday of each month. The next event on the calendar is the ZeroRh 25km Championships on the 6th of March. Will tom Brooks continue his winning ways and set yet another course record or will we see a new champion rise up to defeat the almost unstoppable Brooks? Come along and take up the challenge. Entry fee is only $5 with a yearly membership fee of $20 (incl insurance) or a day license of $7. The Time trials are well run with a friendly atmosphere. Hope to see ya there!
