Two better than one
Thirteen teams participated in the two person 18km time trial last Saturday. Although conditions were a little windy, there were some excellent times posted.
Daniel Silveri and Graham Rutter stopped the clock with the quickest time on the day of 29:05:62. Jeff Gray and Andrew Crawford were only 35 seconds slower in the second fastest time of 29:40:43. The next best time was Steve Newman and Neil Midgley's time of 30:04:06.
Fresh from her good showing at the national club championships, Kerry Augustson teamed up with Mark Davis and recorded a very creditable time of 30:17:10, fourth quickest on the day. Other notable times were Hans Batteard and Nicole Joyce 30:56:70, and Frank Tortorici and Roger Phillips' 31:35:28.
Sunday morning racing commences next week at 8:30am; it will be a 36km scratch race. Group 6 is to marshall.
