Winter racing arrives

The 40km race held at Longford was a Graded Mass Start with 45 riders starting in 5 divisions. Riders were greeted with very cold conditions marking the start of winter racing. A very popular division win was that of Geoff Garwood, one of the very senior riders holding on to win.
