Central Districts CC Junior Tour
Birdwood, Mount Pleasant, SA, July 17-18, 2004
In fairly ordinary conditions with wind and rain and a Maximum temperature hovering between 8C and 13C, the Central District Cycling Club ran it's annual 2 Day Junior Tour 17th-18th July. Based between Birdwood and Mt Pleasant, the weather did everything to defy it's namesake.
This was the 37th Junior Tour, attracting a mixed field of 64 keen riders this year. The Junior 17 field was very strong as were a dozen or so Junior 19 Men who braved a tough course and managed to finish under atrocious conditions. Unfortunately the Women's categories (16 across 3 categories ) were a bit down this year. Nevertheless we saw a good competition to the end.
