The Junior Women's 15-18 event was a two-rider struggle in which Stephanie White (Bedford, N.H.) and relative newcomer Lauren Trull (Greensboro, N.C.) fought a heated battle. White, who has been racing in the elite category all season in New England, rode away with the victory.
An impressive ride was put in by young Hollis Owens who took victory in the 10-14 year old category for girls. She competed on her mtn bike though didn't seem to have a problem with mud clogging up her big tires. "I had a lot of fun. I just want to give all the glory to God, He really helped me."
