Day 4 - November 3

Aldag/Martinello maintain control

After the fourth of six nights of racing in Dortmund, the experienced pair of Rolf Aldag and Silvio Martinello are holding their own on top of the leader board. Aldag/Martinello increased their advantage over second placed Australians Stuart O'Grady/Scott McGrory to 45 points, despite "losing" a lap after three other teams reached 200 points and earned a bonus lap. In third place are Andreas Beikirch/Andreas Kappes (Ger) on 227 points with Swiss pair Risi/Betschart in fourth on 214 points.

All the top four teams have a chance of winning in Dortmund provided they play their cards right over the final two nights. All it takes is for one team to take a lap out of Aldag/Martinello, which will prove difficult given their form so far.

In the Stayers competition, Germany's Carsten Podlesch (paced by Bruno Walrave) is leading from Stefan Klare (behind Christian Dippel) and the Swiss Peter Jörg (behind René Aebi).
