McGrory/Gilmore still on top

O'Grady back in action

Night four of the Munich Six saw Stuart O'Grady get back on the bike after a heavy crash the previous night. Although he could only race the individual events, he is expected to partner the retiring Silvio Martinello on the final two nights in the madisons.

In the battle for the lead, it's still Scott McGrory/Matthew Gilmore on top of the table, extending their lead over Bruno Risi/Kurt Betschart to 19 points. In third place are Germans Andreas Kappes/Andreas Beikirch on 207 points, 23 behind the leaders.

The individual event breakdown saw Jimmi Madsen/Thorsten Rund win the first short madison, while Baffi/Villa won the Derny races, surprising the favourites. Although Kappes/Beikirch won the second big madison, the consistent points scoring by McGrory/Gilmore was enough to keep them on top after night 4.
