Day 5 - September 11: Team Sprint, Women Points Race, Tandem Sprint, Men Scratch Race

Titles to Kimmett & Kerkhof

Saturday's racing featured the women's points race, the team sprint finals, tandem sprint finals, and the men's scratch race. In the points race, the crowd witnessed Becky Quinn narrowly lose a second title this week to new national champion Ashley Kimmett (Bethlehem, Pa.). Quinn rode away with the silver, while Anna Webb (San Diego, Calif.) claimed the podium's third spot.

The scratch race saw Josh Kerkhof (Battleground, Wash.) ride away with the stars and stripes jersey. Walker Starr (Walnut Creek, Calif.) and Guillaume Nelessen (Belle Mead, N.J.) were second and third respectively. The women's team sprint final was a case of déjà vu as the teams ranked the same in the finals as in the morning's qualifying round, with Hard Time claiming gold. The Frisco Cycling Club won silver, while Radical Media CRCA secured the bronze. In the tandem sprint, Frisco Cycling Club this time reigned supreme, and Echelon SB and Team Spincycle earned the silver and bronze respectively.
