• Something had to give as Burke goes toptube surfing
• Tire rolled, wheel fractured and Burke is still steering after Aisbitt as he takes a long slide to the apron
• Keith Oliver and Del Walters argue with the UCI Chief Commisaire after Walters missed his start
• Walters continues to argue and rightly so, since he was in the venue, in plain sight, the crowd knew it, the racers knew, even the announcer knew, and the Clerk of the Course knew. The Chief decided anyway to forfeit his ride. Too bad - since he was on the way to an undefeated sweep and win in the 70+ Match Sprint heats.

• Graziano Pantosti (Ita) claims the Bronze medal
• Patrick Gellineau (USA) pulls up beside Marc Dangleterre (Fra) in ride two, on the way to the Bronze in the 55-59 group

• Stephen Hill (USA) pounds out a gold medal 48.859 effort in the 40-44 750m TT - fastest average speed for the night at 55.26kph average.
