Introduction to Track Racing - What's a Wheelrace? - Introduction to Six Day racing - UCI codes
Burnaby Six Day - 6DBurnaby, British Columbia, Canada, December 31-January 5, 2007Main Page Results Overall standings Previous Race Next Race Race 3 - January 2:Symmetrics continues its measured leadThe third night of racing saw Symmetrics hold on to its two lap lead over Slipstream Sports, maintain its three lap lead over Health Net, and extend the lead to five laps over Successful Living. There is also a fight for fifth and sixth positions, with local Team Devo losing one lap of its two lap lead over the US National squad. Healthnet scored two wins tonight, with a win in the first madison and in the one rider a point per lap race. Symmetrics won the one-rider Points race, and Slipstream came out on top in the second madison of the night. Thursday night will feature a 100 lap madison and a 200 lap madison, as well as two one-rider races. The long 200 lap madison should provide an opportunity for an extended attack on Symmetrics lead, going into the final nights of racing. 100 lap 5x20 MadisonThe first Madison of the night saw the three leading teams take a lap on Successful Living. Healthnet scored the win, with two first and two second place finishes in the sprints. In the battle for fifth overall, US National took a lap on Team dEVo, reducing dEVo's overall lead to one lap over US National. Scratch RaceOne rider from each team took to the boards to contest a Scratch race. Symmetrics took the win, with Healthnet a close second. Point-a-Lap RaceThe other team rider took to the boards to contest a 30 lap Point-a-Lap race. O'Bee jumped off the front with eight laps to go, and secured the win by riding solo for those laps. Symmetrics took second with Slipstream a very close third. 140 Lap 7 x 20 Madison RaceThe second Madison of the night did little to change the Overall Omnium. Slipstream took the win on points, with the top four teams all staying on the same lap. Womens Elite RacingThe Elite women raced a Scratch, Elimination, and Points race tonight. National Champion Steph Roorda took first place in the Elimination and Points race, with Kele Murdin of Proman taking first place in the Scratch race.
