42nd Six Days of Munich - 6DGermany, November 10-15, 2005Main Page Results Overall standings Next Day Day 1 - November 10Dutch finish a lap upAfter the first night of the 42nd Six Days of Munich, the Dutch pairing of Robert Slippens and Danny Stam have a one lap advantage over the rest of the field. The pair didn't score as highly as Erik Zabel/Robert Bartko, who ended on 61 points, but they were able to take a lap towards the end of the evening. Bruno Risi/Kurt Betschart and Matthew Gilmore/Scott Mcgrory finished on the same lap as Zabel/Bartko, and hold third and fourth positions. Zabel/Bartko performed well in the opening madison, winning it on points. Then Andreas Kappes struck by winning the first derny race, while Iljo Keisse also showed good form. In the next madison, it was Slippens/Stam who finished as victors. In the derny that followed, it was Bruno Risi with a last gasp win, then at the end of the night, Guido Fulst/Leif Lampater combined to win the final madison. But on the overall standings, Slippens/Stam were a lap (or more) better than all the rest. PhotographyFor a thumbnail gallery of these images, click here Images by Birke Ulrich/www.alakarte.de
