ITM breaks new ground with Volo stem and new wheelsets

By Tim Maloney at EICMA in Milan, Italy

ITM's new Volo Carbon Tech stem was front and center on its stand in Milano. The new neck has carbon fiber wrapped around a 2014 aluminum alloy core that offers the light weight of carbon and the strength of aluminium. ITM uses a special layering technique that bonds the composite to the aluminium and become one integrated structure which ITM claims weighs 120 grams.

Hoopwise, ITM is rolling along on an all-new four model wheel range, featuring two wheels inspired by their popular K-Sword carbon fibre integrated handlebars, K-Sword 58 (a 58mm carbon fibre tubular wheelset) and K-Sword 38, a carbon/Alu clincher wheelset. ITM's wheel offerings are rounded out by the mid-range Visia 28 clincher and entry level Alu 25.
