In the tradition of innovation and creativity that Campagnolo has brought to bicycle componentry for half a century, the company's uncompromising approach to quality and great Italian design is reflected in the Campagnolo Cycling Apparel Collection for Spring / Summer 2003. The Vicenza, Italy firm has developed a unique new fabric called Textran, a two-way stretch membrane fabric that is water and windproof as well as breathable. Campagnolo says that Textran is the first membrane fabric to combine all of these properties.

Textran's uniqueness also extends to its functionality; other membrane fabrics use a micro-fiber mesh to allow water vapor from perspiration to be transferred away from the skin and this mesh net also allows the fabric to be water and windproof. However, Campagnolo's Textran fabric works in a different and unique way: Textran's internal membrane film allows the moisture to migrate externally via osmotic properties in the membrane. This innovative new fabric is featured in two different weights; Light Textran for spring / summer garments and Thermo Textran for winter wear.

Another innovative feature throughout the Campagnolo clothing line is the men's and women's Project One high-performance short insert. This special design is made in ComforTemp temperature control fabric that has been further incorporated with X-Static antibacterial fabric. Campagnolo's Project One high-performance short insert has three different thicknesses that put the proper padding where it belongs in both men's and women's models.

Campagnolo divides its clothing line into three distinct ranges; Techno, Metal and Logo. As its name suggests, Techno points towards technology and design as key points. Textran fabric is used in several key items, like the Interseason jacket and vest and Txn Rain Jacket.

Metal is perhaps the most distinctive creation of the Campagnolo ranges. This is an ultra hi-tech line with a clean, futuristic look, thanks to the incorporation of metal threads into the fabric. Both primary-colored and metal-look items are featured in the Metal collection, with Titanium, Aluminium and Zirconium colorways.

Campagnolo's Logo collection is a classic cycling wear line for both men and women that features discreet application of the unmistakable Campagnolo script logo throughout.

A full range of attractive accessories such as arm and leg warmers, gloves and headbands are available in all three collections; Techno, Metal and Logo. Campagnolo's Multi Season collection has base layer garments and socks for maximum comfort no matter what the season. For more information, see www.campagnolo.com
