Well its been a long time since my last diary entry, but since then a lot has happened. I broke my right collarbone again. It was the second time in six months - the first was due to a very kind Brisbane motorist and this time the cause was a fall in a race.

It was an simple break this time with no need for an operation, I just had to let it heal naturally. The doc gave me a sling and told me to come back in a couple of weeks. Four days after I broke it I was on the wind trainer with my arm in the sling trying not to lose any fitness. I started off with an hour a day for a while but after a week or so boosted it up till I was bored out of my brain. By the time the doc told me it was okay to train on the road again I had 60 hours of the wind trainer under my belt. I don't want to have to ride the wind trainer ever again!

Getting back on the road was a funny experience with the shoulder not quite feeling like it was there. Going around corners and getting out of the seat was weird for a while but it's all good now. I have been back on the bike for a couple of weeks with a big week under my belt last week I am going to try and race this weekend.

The other boys have been tearing it up on the Fondriests and ripping everyone's legs off so it's time I was racing with them again so they can rip mine off. I would also like to thank all of our sponsors for their support while I've been off the bike and for the rest of the team, and also thanks to a personal sponsor, Kevin Kennedy from Keslin Auto Parts - cheers!

Till next time,
Leigh
