16th Wells Fargo Twilight Criterium

Saturday evening the 16th Wells Fargo Twilight Criterium was held in Downtown Boise. The field was made up of 37 local and national Pro 1/2 racers competing for a $10,000 purse on a 55 lap, 1K route along a crowded downtown block.
Chris Wherry of Mercury made an early break and stayed away for about 15 laps but was eventually caught. Mercury teammate Henk Vogels attacked with 11 laps to go and maintained his advantage, nearly lapping the peleton for the victory and a check for $3000. His finishing time was 1:02:19. Chris Wherry placed second by out sprinting Kevin Monahan of 7-up/Nutra Fig (3rd) and hometown favorite Remi McManus of Jelly belly (4th).
