T-Mobile still the best...but stage four still to come

Another hot stage and another T-Mobile win. And yet again it was Oenone Wood who took the bunch finish to net her second stage in as many days and give the Australian's confidence a boost going into tomorrow's decisive mountain top finish at Admiral Hill.
Today's stage was run under very hot conditions. Temperatures soared to thirty degrees, cooled only by light breezes, without a single cloud in the sky all day.
Sarah Ulmer's crash 15km into the stage did nothing to stop her helping teammate Marina Duvnjak claim the sprint jersey. Ulmer led Duvnjak out in all three sprints ensuring that the Trust House team took the sprint jersey by a single point from Australian National Team rider Jocelyn Loane.

The T-Mobile team road a conservative race, hiding in the bunch for much of the stage and allowing other teams to fight out the mountains and sprints jerseys. But just like the previous two days, the magenta train came to the front when it mattered most, blitzing the final few kilometres and setting up Wood for the bunch finish.
T-Mobile sprinter Ina-Yoko Teutenberg retained her yellow jersey but admitted after the stage she wasn't confident of keeping hold of it until the race's conclusion in Wellington on Sunday. "I'm not a GC rider," said Teutenberg. "We want to wait and see but I think that Judith Arndt or Oenone Wood could do the job for us and win the tour in Sunday's individual time trial."
Three days down, two to go and still the race for GC is wide open - less than a minute separates the top 30 riders. Tomorrow is a very rugged mountain stage followed on Sunday by a short, twisting coastal time trial and an inner-city criterium right in the middle of Wellington.
