Stage 16 - September 12: Almería - Astronomical Observatory of Calar Alto, 145 km

The mountains kick off again after the second rest day. The stage features two first-category climbs and one hors-category climb to the astronomical observatory atop Calar Alto. The final kilometre averages eight percent.
