• Tony "Ironman" Cruz (Discovery Channel) is like a great utility infielder in baseball. He's invaluable to the Disco boys because Cruz is always ready to rock and do his job. Just back from being on the winning team in the Giro d'Italia, Cruz told Cyclingnews he's 'going for it' today and is a protected rider, according to Discovery Channel sports manager Dirk DeMol.
• Former Philly native Bobby Julich takes time with a fan before the Wachovia USPRO Championships this morning. Sure to be a Manayunk Wall fave, Julich is hoping to swap his CSC strip for the Capt. America of USPRO championships this afternoon.
• Lampre-Cafitta boys ready to rock in Philly. Directoy Bruno Vicino always has his riders ready for Philly as he's won the race three times with Saeco. Ale Ballan and Sam Marzoli are the main men.
