Stage 4 - September 7: Soria - Zaragoza, 167 km
They say that stages into Zaragoza are always the fastest - Igor González de Galdeano set the record here in 2001 and it stands at a respectable 55.176 kilometers per hour. A factor in the speed is the steady drop in altitude from Soria (1010m) to Zaragoza (200m). Along the way there is the Cat. 3 climb of the Puerto de Lanzas Agudas. Unless the likes of Igor get away again the sprinters will be hoping to make the most of the day, with tomorrow's stage 5 heading towards the mountains.
