The 2004 Tour of Britain concludes in central London with 45 laps of a high-speed criterium. The riders race clockwise from the start in Whitehall, into Northumberland Avenue, down the Embankment, into Bridge Street and to back over the finish line in Whitehall.
Three bonus sprints will enliven the action before the final gallop; these sprints will come after 24.1, 40.2 and 56.3 kilometres and with valuable seconds up for grabs, the final outcome of the 2004 Tour of Britain could well go down to the wire.
