Stage 4 - September 4: Newport - Celtic Manor Resort, 160km

By Shane Stokes

South Wales is the venue for the fourth stage of the Tour of Britain, a 160.9 kilometre, three-lap race from Newport to Celtic Manor The course is a rolling, undulating one with sprints each time through Newport, at 46, 100.3 and 154.5 kilometres. The riders will also scale the third category ascent at Celtic Manor on each lap; with the finish line at the top of the climb, a dramatic end to the stage should be in store.

One of those particularly motivated on the day will be Roger Hammond, who won the British championship on this course for the past two years running.
