Nationality: Australian
Team: La Francaise de Jeux

Bradley McGee can ride a four kilometre individual pursuit faster than some elite squads can ride as a quartet, averaging close to 60 clicks an hour for four minutes, all on his own. Scary, isn't it? No surprise then the good-looking New South Welshman has now matured to become a feared prologue and TT specialist, recently winning the prologue of the Dauphiné Libéré from his compatriot Baden Cooke - over a distance you might say was rather familiar to him: 3.6 kilometres. However Brad doesn't just want to be master of the chrono; he wants that and more.

Stage 10 - Wednesday July 17: Bazas - Pau, 147 km

All aboard!

It was always going to be fast, being under 150km's, but 54km/h average for the first hour was ridiculous. Guys where trying to attack when the pace was already at 55km/h! Needless to say a break did go, soon after a bonus sprint - a very vulnerable time for breakaways, and our new French champ, Nicolas Vogondy, made the cut.

We, FDJeux.com, thought he had a good chance for the stage and left the ONCE boys to hold fort on the front of the bunch. Unfortunately Nicolas was not up for it today and finished 7th out of a 11 man break, with Baden sprinting home in front of Robbie and Zabel to take 12th and win the critical bunch gallop. So, all we get out of today is confidence - confident to take the next flat stage with Cookie as our lead out train is nearing perfection. All aboard!

Thanks guys,
Brad
