Rivera takes round 10
Bruce Rivera of Team Essex Brass (USCF Category Pro 1/2) charged from a breakaway group of 9 to win race #10 of The Festina/Rudy Project Michigan Challenge Race Series in Lapeer, Michigan. The course was an 8/10th of a mile, six corner criterium through the streets of this small town in Michigan's "Thumb" area. It provided a technical challenging circuit with a small two turn hill on the backside of the course, with a fast downhill sprint to the finish. Finishing second was Jeff Schiller of Ontario, Canada and in third was Nick Durrie of Ann Arbor, Michigan. The win by the sprint specialist Rivera, moved him into fourth place of The Festina/Rudy Project Michigan Challenge Race Series (USCF Category Pro 1/2) with 3 events remaining.
