The toughest stages come near the end, with Stage 8 from Gérardmer to Morteau featuring seven categorised climbs; Stage 9 from Morteau to Bellegarde-sur-Valserine with six climbs; and the final stage around le Grand-Bornand in the Alps with a leg breaking seven Cat. 2 climbs in the last 60 km.
