Clearly counting on Saturday's Snohomish race to sap the will of most racers, this tactic proved successful if unsportsmanlike. Although a protest against Ms Nature's win was lodged by Johnny Sundt, race organisers had to admit that no rule specifically prevented the use of weather to affect he outcome of the race. However, series points were not awarded.
