Santa Rosa's Chincott claims first Infineon Raceway Cycling Series win

Santa Rosa's Gavin Chincott (Dewars Race Team) claimed his first Infineon Raceway Cycling Series win on Thursday in the final round of the Spring Cycling Series.

Chincott topped Cycling Series regulars Todd Hennings of Napa (Napa Valley Velo) and Ben Standish (Dewars Race Team), who finished second and third respectively in the A Race. The race covered seven laps over the 10-turn road course, which included the challenging Carousel section.

Napa's Dustin Diede (Travis Hawks) won the B Race, which also covered seven laps. He was followed by Truckee's Conrad Snover (Timex) and Santa Rosa's Shawn Daly. This was the final event of the Infineon Raceway Spring Cycling Series. Cycling will return to Infineon Raceway in August with the Summer Cycling series, which will be held Aug. 4, 11 and 18.
