Rising 350 feet in half a mile Jester provides them with grades ranging from 10-20% and averaging 14%. It was on a recent training ride that local racer and race promoter Josh Kravitz came up with the idea to hold time trial to find out just who could manage the fastest time up the grade and wear the crown as the King of Jester. Cloudy skies greeted fans and riders alike on race day as local riders Ethan Frost (Team Brain and Spine) and Sarah Faulkner notched overall wins over the married second place finishers Robbie and Alexandra Robinette (Bicycle Sport Shop). The daunting course saw 116 riders tackle its serpentine swath upward while fans lined every inch cheering them on. The event also served as a charitable benefactor to The Lone Star Paralysis Foundation, and featured an event expo that showcased children's bicycle safety, as well as donating twenty new bicycle helmets to area youths. In addition to the bicycle race the event also featured a 5k-foot race, a running TT of the bike course, and an Alternative human powered TT class. In all over 280 participants competed in the day's multiple events. PhotographyImages by Ted Arnold
