2nd Annual Mortgage Solutions Road Race

Altoona, Iowa, April 5, 2003

The 45 mile road race on a wind-swept 4.5 mile circuit came down to a two-man sprint between Adam Bergman of Bianchi/Grand Performance and Lee Venteicher of Mercy/Cannondale on the steep climb to the finish line.

Bergman rocketed across at the line to win, with Venteicher taking 2nd place honors for the second consecutive year. (John Lieswyn of 7/Up-Nutrafig won the 2001 edition.) Josh Tack (Mercy/Cannondale), Terry Beenken (DMOS/Mortgage Solutions) and Ryan Nenninger (Mack) rounded out the top five for the day in the Cat 1/2/3 event.
