Stage 3 - April 29: Inner Loop Road Race, 77/64.2 miles
Tecos and T-Mobile do it again

After his teammate Ubaldo Mesa took out Stage Two of the Outside Magazine Tour of hte Gila, this time it was Jose Delarosa taking the honours to win stage three making it two out of three for the Tecos team. In the women's field, Teutenberg made a late breakaway to take the stage with her teammate Kimberly Bruckner keeping the leaders jersey.
Another windy day, made a little easier with a tailwind along the main section of the course the terrain on the way home, caused both the women's and the men's fields to split. After T-Mobile set the pace for most of the race for leader, Bruckner, Teutenberg decided to attack with 10 miles remaining in the stage. Chased by only Kristen LaSasso (USA) CRCA Team Lipton Teutenberg rode solo for remainder for the race before finally being caught by LaSasso in the final mile of the race, but managed to win the sprint for the stage win, with LaSasso taking second just in front of the bunch sprint for third which was taken by Genevieve Jeanson.Bruckner finished safely in fifth place to keep her lead going into stage four.
In the men's field a group of just under thirty riders arrived at the finish line for the bunch sprint, taken out by Delarosa, from Neil Shirley (Seasilver) and David Clinger (Webcor). Bajadali finished ninth, also retaining his three second lead over Ivan Stevic (Aerospace Engineering).
