The second last day of the Baby Giro was a split stage with a hilly 67km stage in the morning then an 80km transfer before a 36km hilly time trial in the afternoon which, after a 90km drive home, made a full day.

The racing in the morning stage, starting and finishing in Guglionesi, was again aggressive with riders running out of chances for a result. Kairelis got his third win of the Giro and took the leaders jersey. We had Ben Johnson and Dave McPartland in the front group but they weren't in the top 25.
