Report by Giana Roberge, Team Saturn

The Saturn Cycling Team struck the first winning blows to the domestic peloton in the first national caliber weekend of racing in the US. Fresh from Saturn Cycling Team training camp and in their first weekend of racing, a contingent of eight Saturn men dominated the Boulevards Road Race and El Cajon Criterium in San Diego on Saturday and Sunday.

The weekend kicked off with the Boulevards Road Race, a tough, hilly, 80 mile road circuit in the hills south east of San Diego. Saturn's Harm Jansen took top honors with the assistance of his team mates Chris Fisher, Trent Klasna, Will Frischkorn, Jay Sweet, Rahsaan Bahati, Soren Petersen and Ivan Dominguez. Jansen bested former Mercury Team standout Jesus Zarate in a three man sprint at the finish. Jansen's Saturn teammate, Chris Fisher finished in fifth, about two minutes behind Jansen.
