Day 4 - February 4

The afternoon pursuit of the Copenhagen six days was completed in a somewhat moderate tempo. The pack seemed to have decided not to use up all its reserves before tonight's marathon pursuit over 75km. Frank Høj and Marco Villa won their first victory of the six days.

A traditional sprint series preceded the first pursuit of the evening, and the top dogs Gilmore/McGrory managed to collect enough points in the sprints to surpass 200 points. They gained an extra lap on the rest of the pack, before the pursuits.

The first pursuit of the evening turned out to be very even, Slippens and Nothstein getting a narrow win in the end. The second and longest pursuit, however, began with the Danish boys in the driving seat. Never far behind, though, were the overall leaders from pair number 10.

Up till the very end it looked like a duel between the 'big' guys, but the Danish coming man Jimmy Hansen and his partner Etienne Dewilde, twenty years his senior, managed to pull a new rabbit out of the hat, and bring home their second victory in two days.

Overall, the pairing of McGrory/Gilmore still leads Sandstød/Madsen, with Sørensen/Martinello in third spot.
