Stage 6 - March 6: Khancoban - Cabramurra, 110.8 km

What a stage!! It undulates from Khancoban for the first 50 kilometres before the solid climbing to over 1000 metres at kilometre 80. Then it drops back to 340 metres before the climb past Tumut Power Station up to the highest village in Australia - Cabramurra, at 1540 metres high.

It is the toughest stage of the race and has determined the overall result on many occasions. Geneviève Jeanson was unbelievable last year but she certainly suffered for it. The hill climbers will always have the last laugh on this one and a fragmented peloton will ride into Cabramurra.
