Stage 2 - January 13: Ciudad Bolivia Circuit Race, 120 km

The Blonde Beast is Back!

Remember the "Blonde Beast" from Latvia who took the first four stages in the Vuelta a Colombia last year? Andris Nauduzs is back, this time in Venezuela's Vuelta a Táchira winning the mass sprint in the second stage.

Nauduzs was forced perilously close to the fence by Cuban Gil Cordovés as the peloton approached the finish line. Notwithstanding the pressure, Naduzs pulled out to win the sprint. Cordovés was relegated to last place by the judges for the alleged attempt to impede the Lithuanian's progress. Russian Pavel Broutt retained the overall leader's jersey
