Six Days of Noumea - 6DNew Caledonia, November 24-29, 2000
PreviewThe Six Days of Noumea is one of the few such events in the Southern Hemisphere, and gives New Caledonians, New Zealanders and the Australians a chance to ride in this very popular European style of racing. 15 pairs will race, headed by Tasmanian Danny Clark, a veteran of 236 Six Day events. He is paired with Australian Graeme Brown, and the two should make an interesting combination. Other notable riders include sprinters Laurent Gane and Florian Rousseau, who will form part of a special sprint competition that also boasts Mickaël Bourgain, Arnaud Duble (Fra), Hervé Gane (Fra) and Jeff Hopkins (Aus). There is also a women's sprint competition that will see Felicia Ballanger in her final racing appearance.
