Preview

Three first division teams have found their way to the upgraded Volta ao Algarve at the tourism area in southern Portugal. The top teams are Banesto, with Alex Zülle, Kelme and Festina. There are 17 teams participating, ten of them Portuguese.

Zülle is probably taking this little Volta as training but his Portuguese team mates would probably like to do well on their home ground. Benficas Spanish star, last year's winner, Melchior Mauri should also be mentioned.
