This Swiss National Event is an invitation only race consisting of
two separate mountain time trials, each of 6.85 km. Each time trial
involves riding from the edge of Lake Geneva and ascending through the
city until the riders reach the highest point.
This year's race was won by Swiss Daniel Schnider (La Francaise des
Jeux), who placed fourth in the first time trial to favourites Laurent
Dufaux and Oscar Camenzind, but then came back to win the second with
a narrow margin to Camenzind. The two finished on equal time, with Dufaux
a second behind, however Schnider had managed to snag an extra three
tenths of a second to give him the win.
