Preview

One of the few summer 6 day events is the 6 Days of Fiorenzuola (6 Giorni delle Rosa), taking place on the track of the same name from July 25-30. The organiser, Claudio Santi is well known on the Italian and World track scene, having run several World Cup events and the upcoming junior World's in August.

This race has 18 pairs, including the Italian stars Silvio Martinello and Andrea Colinelli, and Marco Villa and Ivan Quaranta. Swiss pair Bruno Risi and Kurt Betschart will also take pate, as will the recent winners of the Buenos Aires six, Gabriel and Juan Curuchet from Argentina. Etienne De Wilde and Matthew Gilmore will ride, but not together as is usual. Matthew's partner in this race is his brother Luc, riding under Australian nationality.
