Stage 8 - September 2: Vinaroz-Port Aventura, 168.5 km

Despite a couple of 500m 'lumps', stage 8 of La Vuelta is comparatively flat and suited to the sprinters amongst the bunch. It starts at the seaside town of Vinaroz and travels along the coast for 168 kilometres, finishing at Universal Studios in Port Aventura.

Loacated to the north of the Costa del Azahar, Vinaroz is a town with a strong fishing tradition, and is famous for its fish and prawns that are freshly caught each day for the market. It is also well supplied with tourist lodgings, camping areas, hotels and villas.
