Brief:
The Spar-RDM-team continued with their winning ways when Michel Cornelisse, won
a three up sprint from Chris Peers and Adrie van der Poel. It is the 4th time
that Cornelisse has won in Zwevezele. 19 riders went clear at the 30 kms mark.
The peloton started to work when they realised they were more than 6 minutes down.
However, with 10 kms to go there were still 16 out in front (after Vanlancker,
Pauwels and Philippe Vereecke could not keep up with the tempo). In the finale
it was the top three who moved clear with Cornelisse winning the sprint.
"Next year I will remain with Gaspard Van Peteghem. He has been good to me. My
ambition? I am doing it. These kermis races are my bread and butter." said the
33-year old Dutchman from Amsterdam.
