The world's biggest and best pro cycling team had its team presentation in the Robbiano di Mediglia plant in Milan on January 27. Professional photographer, Roberto Bettini supplied the following photos of Team Mapei-Quick Step, as did cyclingnews.com's man of the moment, Tim Maloney.

Joseph Sunde Memorial Criterium

This race is in its 8th year, and is held in memory of a young boy named Joseph Sunde who died of Leukemia in 1992. Proceeds from the race go to the Children's Cancer Institute in NSW, and as usual there were plenty of cyclists in attendance at Heffron Park.

Centrumcross Surhuisterveen

Held late in 2000, the Centrumcross Surhuisterveen in the Netherlands saw Erwin Vervecken win in a hard fought race. Bert Geerts supplied the following photos of the mud and the action that exemplifies European cyclocross.

Oceania Championships

Cyclists from all over the region are in Sydney for the Oceania Championships, which includes road, track and MTB events. Tom Balk took these shots at the Dunc Grey velodrome.

Belgian national cyclo-cross championships

Globe-trotting cyclo-cross shooter Mark Abramson captured the action on the beach and in the dirt at the Belgian cross nats.

Australian Open Road Championships

Held in Portarlington in Victoria in 2001, the Australian Championships were the first national road championships of the new millenium (depending on when you start counting!). John Doggett-Williams was there again for cyclingnews.

Melbourne to Sorrento Cup

The first one day race on the UCI calendar was the Melbourne to Sorrento Cup, a gruellingly hot 165 kilometre run down Port Phillip Bay, finishing on Mornington Peninsula. Cyclingnews.com correspondent, John Doggett-Williams was on hand to capture all the excitement.

Copa America de Ciclismo

Held in Sao Paolo, Brazil, the Copa America de Ciclismo signified the start of the new season for Brazilian cyclists. Here are three pics from the race, courtesy of AFP.

GP van Nederland (Zeddam) World Cup

The fifth round of the Cyclocross World Cup was held in Zeddam, the Netherlands, and saw a strong Sven Nijs beat Petr Dlask and an unlucky Richard Groenendaal for the honours. Professional photographer, Ruud Voest supplied the following pictures of the race.
