Melchor Mauri's hour record attempt - April, 2001

Spanish rider Melchor Mauri is astride his new Gios, designed by none other than legendary frame builder Alfredo Gios (R). Presented to Mauri in Barcelona on April 12, the bicycle was made in Turin, Italy and weighs 6.82 kilograms. Mauri will use the bike during his attempt to beat English Chris Boardman's one hour record in Bordeaux, France, on May 20.
