Commercial Color Open

The Commercial Color Men's and Women's Open took place in the USA on the 9th June, 2000 and Douglas Sheppard sent us the following great action photographs.

Tour of the Gila

These are all Tour of Gila photos that took place from May 5-9 in New Mexico, USA. Sent to us by Phil Marques.

Criterium du Dauphiné Libére

The Dauphiné Libére is the traditional French lead up for many riders aiming for the Tour de France, as well as being an important (hors categorie) race in its own right.

Stage 2 - June 6: Chatillon-sur-Chalaronne - Saint-Etienne, 210 km

Stage 3 - June 7: Saint-Etienne - Saint-Chamond, ITT 35.7 km Stage 4 - June 8: Romans-sur-Isère - Mont Ventoux, 159 km Stage 5 - June 9: Beaumes-de-Venise - Dignes-les-Bains, 201 km Stage 6 - June 10: Dignes-les-Bains - Briançon, 218 km Stage 7 - June 11: Saint-Jean-de-Maurienne - Sallanches, 147 km

MTB World Championships

The World Mountain Bike Championships were held from June 7-11 this year in Sierra Nevada, Spain. Here is a little of the action.

Tour of Somerville

This US National Series race was held at the end of May, and resulted in wins for Shaklee's Jonas Carney and Autotrader.com's Tina Mayolo. Regular cyclingnews contributor, Jonathan McElvery took the following excellent shots of the race.

International Westfalenpreis

René Penno of the Hohenfelder-Concorde team took this picture of Australian Corey Sweet winning the 62nd International Westfalenpreis, Dortmund-Brackel.

Tour Down Under

Nisa Schebella has shared some of her favourite photos from the Tour Down Under with us.

Tour of Germany

The Tour of Germany is being held for the second time in 2000 and it has already been promoted to UCI Class 2.3. Telekom are the the expected favourites of course, and the Germans would love to see a repeat of Jens Heppner's 1999 overall win.
