• Spectacular San Marino hosted the 2005 Journalists' World Championships. There was no such thing as a flat road.
• The view across the valley from the top of the circuit

• The start/finish was an uphill sprint
• The short end of the course climbed up at 7-8 percent, but only for 400 metres before turning at the top
• The top of the short end of the course involved a U-turn and a fast plunge back down to the start/finish
