Ride With The Devil Mountain Bike Race

Clinton Lake State Park, Kansas, March 23, 2003

Local heroes

On an unseasonably warm day in eastern Kansas, 130 of the Midwest's top racers showed up for the annual Ride With The Devil Mountain Bike Race held at Clinton Lake State Park.

Known for having some of the best and most challenging single track in America, Clinton Lake offers a roller coaster ride of rocks, roots and ruts. The majestic lakefront circuit included numerous rocky climbs and undulating descents in a 5.6 mile loop.

Kansas native Steve Tilford once again proved his reputation as a class act on any terrain as the Bikesource Pro handily won the feature event. Kansas gem Jen Tilley battled local speedster Stacy Lamar for the top prize in the women's category.
